We all know that winter sucks the life out of our skin and we experience everything from dehydrated, dry and flaky skin. Sometimes, it just has something to do with some products we use also. Changing your skin routine in the season changing months is important.
A couple products we tried are going to help clear you pores over time and also one that hydrates and provides relief of redness and irritation.
The Kiwi Grapefruit Toner : A refreshing light-weight toner using essential oils, witch hazel, comfrey extract and aloe vera gel. Formulated to remove residual grease and oil from the face while conditioning, leaving it soft and hydrated. We also found that it works well to set makeup! So a two in one bottle.
- Aloe Vera Gel – Soothing
- Witch Hazel Extract – astringent
- Glycerin – Conditions & hydrates
Our overall review on this is 8/10. The scent is refreshing and calming. However, we find that toners are an extra step in a routine and they aren’t as important. But- that being said – we do keep it in the office whenever we need a quick spritz of freshness on our skin!
Charcoal Mud Mask : Rejuvenate oily and problematic skin with Charcoal Mud! This purifying mask is just what you need when you’re having an outbreak, or just feeling a little bit greasy. Charcoal removes thousands of times its own volume in oil, which means impurities and oils are sucked away from your skin without over-drying. Glaba root extract helps to lighten redness and allows skin to appear (and feel) rejuvenated. A combination of three organic acids: pyruvic, glycolic, and salicylic improve cell turnover allowing for new cell growth which means that your skin will be left feeling fresh and bright. Just the picker-upper you need to feel (and look) your best!
- Mandelic Acid – Alpha hydroxy acid to increase cellular turnover
- Charcoal CI 77266 – absorbs oil, removes impurities without drying
- Pyruvic Acid-Glycolic Acid – Salicylic Acid -increase cell turnover
- Glycyrrhia Glabra Root Extract – helps lighten red spots
Our overall review on this is 7/10. We found that it did a great job at cleansing the skin, however, if you have really sensitive skin or acne, you may experience more tingling than usual and it does leave you with some redness but it does subside as time goes on after removal. The scent however is strong, but does go away once it is dry. Don’t leave it on longer than 15 minutes – you’ll just create irritation.
